GPAC
Every 7th grade student will have GPAC sometime
this year, which is a guidance class that explores personal/social, academic,
and career development. Students learn
that interests, aptitudes, and abilities are unique for each individual and
play a key role in school and life successes. Class participation is a key component
to the activities and aid in gaining personal growth and insight.
In a recent class with Ms. Bensinger, students participated
in a “keypunch” activity to become acquainted with the lesson essential
question. This type of activity is a
powerful exercise in learning to communicate, cooperate, and problem-solve
while completing a specific task. (see photos)
Clothing
Drive/Fashion Fair
RLAJHS staff is in the process of organizing the school’s
second Fashion Fair. We are currently
collecting gently used clothing.
Students will then sort the clothing by size so that families can “shop”
on Friday, October 25, from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 26, from
8:00 – 11:00 a.m. We will have sizes for
the entire family. Any district family
is invited to attend.
You can help by donating clean, lightly used items of
clothing and by asking your friends, neighbors, and Facebook friends to do the
same. You may drop your donations off at
the Junior High anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
